Last night at the Broad Street Ballroom, premier catering company Great Performances and Edible Manhattan held a Farm-to-Table cocktail dinner buffet featuring ingredients sourced from within a 100-mile radius of New York City.
The event and delicious spread (including items like Foie Gras and Rhubarb Chutney on Toast, Roasted Duck Breast, and Baked Apples) was meant to demonstrate a commitment to celebrating local, seasonal flavors while supporting sustainable agriculture and good earth practices. In case you missed it, Great Performances’ founder, Liz Neumark, mentioned that they will be hosting another 100 Mile Menu event on October 11th as part of the New York City Wine and Food Festival.
